NYM brings together a slamming roster of artists to create an evening of new plays based on a Theme selected by the Featured Guest Playwright and announced one week before the event. The collective works by all the writers form a kaleidoscope of that cultural moment. The plays are presented hot off the press, fully staged, script in hand and… ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN A MADNESS!

The Play-in-a-Day Festivals bring together a group of playwrights, directors, and actors to conceive, write, and perform several short plays over the course of 24 hours.
If you heard about #TheSummit, we’re ready to throw the idea that there aren’t enough plays written by female playwrights out the window. This time all plays will be written by female playwrights. This is our fourth festival with previous events bringing in more than 1000 audience members, garnering a listing in The New York Times and as a Critic’s Pick in The L Magazine.
